PeerCorps, as a component of its ongoing rural development initiatives, seeks volunteer teachers as part of the Teach for Tanzania initiative. Interested volunteers should have a demonstrated interest or experience in teaching English, math and science subjects to youth ages 5-14. All volunteers must be prepared to spend at least 8 weeks on site in Nzega, Tanzania and surrounding locations. Candidates indicating their availability for 3 months or more will receive priority.
Applicants will be responsible for covering the costs of their airfare and meals, housing will be provided free of cost in Nzega for program participants. Ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree in education, English, language studies or related fields.
